The handle rivet does not need to be peened but uses a friction fit so you easily move your auxiliary handle from front to back. These saws are made the old fashioned way. Made from British CS80 steel with a Rockwell hardness of 44-46 Blade thickness of 1.5mm to provide the superior stiffness required when cutting on long strokes. Can be Re-sharpened using a Large File
